Basem Younis is a member of the business and real property litigation division of Hammoud and Dakhlallah Law Group. Mr. Younis litigates both complex civil and commercial cases, including breach of contract claims, real property disputes, and business disputes. 

Mr. Younis graduated with his law degree (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Wayne State University Law School and Mike Ilitch School of Business in 2021, where he served as the Law School Representative for the University’s Student Senate, President of the Muslim Law Student Association, Treasurer of the Entrepreneurship and Business Law Society, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Law. While in law school, Mr. Younis served as a Judicial Intern with the Honorable Judge David J. Allen, Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan; Student Attorney with Wayne Law’s Business and Community Law Clinic; and Law Clerk for Hammoud, Dakhlallah, and Associates, PLLC. 

Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Younis gained considerable real estate and business experience dating back to his undergraduate career. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.), magna cum laude, from Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business in 2019 with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. During his undergraduate career, he served as an Investment Analyst for Younis Enterprises, LLC, a Dearborn-based private-equity and commercial real estate management firm. Mr. Younis’s contributions to the University and the Student Managed Investment Fund, an investment portfolio within a $2.1 million reserve donated by the Kresge Foundation, led him to be the recipient of the 2019 Mike Ilitch School of Business 25 Under 25 Award. 

Mr. Younis is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
